Reporting to: Technical Supervisor: ICT specialist /Dep rep operations 


Job Responsibilities

A.    Purpose

To ensure that ICT section consistently provides timely support of ICT services - the purpose of this is to provide the deliverables listed below as per the time line, to supplement its staff and meet the current demand for services. 

B.    Background

UN AGENCIES's ICT infrastructure comprises state-of-the-art hardware and software platforms; the organization has implemented an ICT service management model based on ITIL (IT Infrastructure) framework and best practices. The ICT team is responsible for the provision of ICT Services to staff across BCO. 

ICT provides Network, Telecommunications and Help Desk services, serving as the key contact point for internal users regarding the provision of first and second-level support of the Organization's standard desktop computing environment. In addition, ICT provides support also for meetings, workshops, and other events within the Offices premises or in specific locations in Bangladesh

Purpose of Activity/Assignment:

Under the supervision of the Digital Impact specialist, and in close coordination with dep rep operations and ICT team, the consultant will carry out the following tasks:

1. Inception, Assessment & Immediate Priority Outputs Package

·         A report with a detailed 6-month workplan, timelines, and deliverables

·         Rapid ICT Operational & Infrastructure Assessment (Dhaka & Cox’s Bazar)

·         ICT Contracts & LTAs Status Snapshot

·         Quick-Win Action Note with immediate priorities

2. ICT Contracts & LTA Review and Renewal Package 

·         Review of all current ICT contracts and LTAs

·         Draft new or revised ToRs for contracts due for renewal

·         Negotiation and technical renewal documentation.

3. ICT Business Continuity & Infrastructure Readiness Update

·         Updated ICT components of BCP and DRP

·         Infrastructure readiness assessment for Dhaka and CxB

·         Risk mitigation and recovery recommendations 

4.  Office Reconfiguration & LAN Optimization  

·         LAN infrastructure assessment, reprovisioning, and optimization validation (Dhaka & CxB)

·         Post-implementation verification report 

5. Short code integration (Rapidpro), Call Center Relocation & Reconfiguration Completion Report

·         Technical coordination and documentation support for short code integration, including engagement with the Mobile Network Operator (MNO) and collaboration with ICT and communications teams

·         Technical assessment and relocation support documentation

·         System reconfiguration and connectivity validation

·         Operational readiness confirmation

6. ICT Audit Findings Closure & Asset Disposal coordination

·         ICT audit action-tracking matrix and closure evidence

·         Support documentation for disposal of obsolete ICT assets

·         Residual risk and recommendation note

7. Knowledge Transfer, Handover & Final Consultancy Report.

 

C.     Deliverables

On the last week of every month the incumbent should submit the progress report covering key tasks and responsibilities as mentioned below:

·         Inception, Assessment & Immediate Priority Outputs Package

·         ICT Contracts & LTA Review and Renewal Package 

·         ICT Business Continuity & Infrastructure Readiness Update

·         Office Reconfiguration & LAN Optimization  

·         Short code integration (Rapidpro), Call Center Relocation & Reconfiguration Completion Report

·         ICT Audit Findings Closure & Asset Disposal coordination

·         Knowledge Transfer, Handover & Final Consultancy Report.

 


Compensation and Other Benefits

D.     Payment 

The ICT Consultant  will get Monthly BDT 2,25000/- (Two lakh twenty-five thousand taka only). 

E.     Administrative issues

·        For payment by E-Zone on due time, the Supervisor will forward the certified attendance sheet and confirmation of receiving expected deliverables for the respective period.

·        The contractor/consultant will be responsible for paying all taxes as per government rules.

F.     Qualification

  • A minimum of 5 years of practical work experience in information technology, requiring systematic methods of troubleshooting and problem solving is required.
  • Experience in supporting users on IT products and services and use of applications and diagnostic tools are required. Practical experience in providing technical and business Customer Support and Services is required.
  • Experience in contract and vendor management
  • Familiarity with UN AGENCIES systems, - or similar system to track asset or analyse data.

G.    Language Requirements 

·         Fluency in Bangla and good English communication skills are required.
